So Much New To Do at Disney!

So Much New To Do at Disney!

It is such a great time to plan your next trip to a Disney Park!  New Offerings are already being debuted, with more to come in the next few years!  While there are many articles that give MUCH more information about each of these things, I thought I would create a list to give you an overview of what is coming and get you excited for YOUR next trip!

Walt Disney World

1. Pandora: The World of Avatar

I know, this opened over a year ago, but if you haven't seen the newest addition to Animal Kingdom, you'd better get there!  Featuring one of the best attractions in all of the World, Pandora is beautiful, immersive, and fun!  Flight of Passage is a must-do thrill ride, and Nav'i River Journey is peaceful, beautiful, and mesmorizing!  Make sure to see this new land at night! (See how many exclamation points...that how you know it's good.)

2. Toy Story Land

Toy Story Land just opened in Disney's Hollywood Studios and features 2 new attractions.  Slinky Dog Dash is a kid-friendly coaster that winds through the land and Alien Swirling Saucers is a cross between a spin ride and the scrambler.  The theming is adorable, shrinking you down to the size of a toy in Andy's backyard.

3. Minnie and Mickey's Runaway Railway

Another new addition to Hollywood Studios, this dark ride will be taking the place of The Great Movie Ride.  This will be Mickey's first ride in all of Walt Disney World, and will feature the theming of the new Mickey Mouse shorts.  Imagineers are calling the technology "2 1/2 D" and we can find out what the heck that means in 2019!

4. Tron Coaster

This coaster will be built in Tomorrowland at the Magic Kingdom.  It is based on the hugely popular coaster in Shanghai Disneyland.  It is currently slated to open in 2021.

5. Ratatouille

Another attraction coming from overseas, we will be getting the Ratatouille attraction from Disneyland Paris.  It will be built in Epcot's France pavilion and should open in 2021.

6. Guardians of the Galaxy

This coaster is bound for Epcot in what was once the Universe of Energy building.  It will be an indoor "family" coaster and should also open in 2021.

Disneyland Resort

1. Guardians of the Galaxy: Mission- BREAKOUT!

This attraction is a permanent overlay on Disney's California Adventure's Tower of Terror.  *I'm pretty positive all those unreadable apostrophes are grammatically correct.*  With updated ride system, new theming, and new animatronics, the tower is now totally decked out for Guardians!

2. Pixar Pier

California Adventure's Paradise Pier has been re-themed with some of your favorite Pixar characters.  It just recently opened along with Pixar Fest, going on through the summer. There are many retail and dining options, as well as some re-tooled rides including the Incredi-Coaster.  This land will also be getting a ride themed to my personal favorite movie, Inside Out.

3. Marvel Land

A new land featuring some favorite Marvel characters will be taking over what is currently a bug's land.  Not much information has been released for this new land, but it should start taking shape in 2020.

Well, I think that's it....unless there's something I'm missing.... (que Star Wars music)

Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge

That's right, the most exciting new development for the parks is, of course, Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge.  This themed land will be coming to both Disneyland and Disney's Hollywood Studios.  And we don't even have to wait long!! The land will open first in Disneyland in the summer of 2019 (like, you can book your trip ALREADY 2019), then the East Coast version will open in late fall of 2019.  The lands are huge and will surely be immensely popular!  In Disney World, there is also a Star Wars resort that promises to be revolutionary!  You can probably start selling all of your possessions now to fund your multiple stays.

NOW we've covered all of the most exciting new additions and those coming to the Disney parks in the next few years.  It is an exciting time for Disney parks and a great time to book your visit!  There is always something new to see, and I can't wait until my next visit!
