Ah, Hawai'i. The ultimate in vacation destinations! Did you know you could combine all that the beautiful island of O'ahu has to offer with the magic and exemplary service of Disney?
I can't get over this resort! I've come to think the whole point of my training, marketing, and planning is just leading to me spending weeks at Aulani, A Disney Resort and Spa. I've never been to Aulani, but it is definitely the Disney destination I am most excited to visit!Rooms and Suites
Rooms are generous in size and luxurious in appointment! You are able to choose from a Standard Hotel Room, 1-Bedroom Suite, Signature 1- Bedroom Suite, and Signature 2-Bedroom Suite. The view options are Standard View, Ocean View, Partial Ocean View, Poolside Gardens View, and Island Gardens View. There are robes and toiletries for guests' convenience, as well as a coffee maker and refrigerator. The Signature Suites offer additional amenities like a sink, microwave, dishwasher, and a whirlpool tub and steam shower. The largest of the rooms sleep 6 guests.
Villas are offered to guests looking for more of a "home away from home" feel. The Deluxe Studio sleeps up to 4, the 1-Bedroom Villa, 2- Bedroom Villa, and 3-Bedroom Villa offer a full kitchen, more amenities, and accommodate up to 12 guests. All the rooms at the resort are luxurious and high end. They offer subtle Disney touches while honoring the Hawai'ian culture and style. With so many different room options, it's possible to find the perfect fit for your family's size and budget!
Laniwai Spa
Laniwai Spa is the award winning spa attached to Aulani Resort. You can choose from massage, facials, couples treatments, family treatments, and herbal body remedies. No matter what treatment you choose, you are welcome to enjoy the spa's amenities for as long as you'd like. Something unique to Laniwai is the outdoor hydrotherapy garden, complimentary with any spa treatment. The garden features Pulu Bar, a Spa Mixology station that allows you to create a custom body polish. Makeovers are even offered for kids!Restaurants
Makahiki- This location offers a bountiful buffet celebrating the local fare. Disney Character Breakfast's and Menehune Mischief Character Dinner's are offered at this location.
'Ama 'Ama- An open-aired restaurant serving elegant cuisine overlooking Ko Olina Beach.
Ulu Café- This quick service location features fresh made as well as grab-and-go selections. It's location right by the pool makes it a convenient stop for a quick meal while you enjoy the beautiful amenities.
The 'olelo Room- This lounge offers cocktails and appetizers while celebrating the local language.
Wailana Pool Bar- A perfect opportunity for grown up time, this secluded bar is located right next to the adult-exclusive Wailana pool.
Off The Hook- Casual cuisine, cocktails, sandwiches, and appetizers are features at this pool-side establishment.
Mama's Snack Stop- A walk up shack convenient for a quick meal pool side.
Papalua Shave Ice-This stand offers multiple flavors of tropical shaved to refresh vacationers pool-side.
Little 'Opihi's Beachside Kiosk- The only beachside place to grab some food, this location offers appetizers and light meals.
Things To Do
Aulani is unique in it's ability to offer a perfect vacation for every age. I think the best way to examine this amazing place is by age of traveler so we can see what is offered for every member of your family!
Fun for the Whole Family
The Beach- Aulani features a private beach that will allow your family to fully enjoy the splendor of the beautiful island! There are trails, recreation equipment for rent, even a guided canoe tour of the island. Little 'Ophili's serves snacks and refreshments right on the beach!
Waikolohe Pool- This is the resort's biggest pool area and is dedicated to family fun! This zero-entry pool includes a waterslide as well as poolside cabana's available for rent. Pool parties featuring music and Disney characters will keep the whole family entertained!
Waikolohe Stream- The resort's lazy river allows for a relaxing innertube float around the Waikolohe Valley, designed to echo the surrounding beauty of Ko Olina. The stream features another slide that can be enjoyed solo or with a partner.
Rainbow Reef- Aulani provides an opportunity to snorkel in the only private snorkeling lagoon in O'ahu. The island's many tropical fish are on display in this lagoon, complete with a viewing window for those not interested in snorkeling.
Ka Maka Grotto- Another family friendly pool featuring an infinity edge overlooking the Pacific Ocean and a misty grotto full of glittering lights.
Rainbow Reef- Aulani provides an opportunity to snorkel in the only private snorkeling lagoon in O'ahu. The island's many tropical fish are on display in this lagoon, complete with a viewing window for those not interested in snorkeling. Adult Getaways
Aloha Point- This terraced whirlpool features an infinity edge overlooking the Pacific Ocean. This area is exclusively for guests over 18 years old.
Wailana Pool- This pool is secluded from the busy family pools by a large rock wall, fountains, and tropical greenery. Located adjacent to the pool bar, this is the perfect spot for couples to spend some time together!
Ohana Disney Movie Nights- Gather under the stars for a Disney movie
Pau Hana Room- A Community Hall featuring games, crafts, and activities for all ages!
Mo'olelo Story Telling- "Uncle" the master storyteller uses puppets, props, and a little Disney magic to lead in a fire-side tale.
Ka Wa'a- A spectacular Lu'au telling the story of the first explorers to reach the shores of Ko Olina. The entire evening is filled with pre-show activities, a buffet dinner, and a big Lu'au performance.
Fun for Kids
Menehune- a recurring theme throughout the resort are the hidden Menehune, legendary "little people" responsible for mysterious happenings in Hawai'i.
Menehune Bridge- A climbing play structure and interactive splash pad for kids under 48" tall.
Keiki Cove- A playground designed just for kids! The floor features colorful pictures of sea creatures, rainbow water jets, and hidden surprises!
Aunty's Beach House- Kids ages 3-12 will enjoy spending time with Aunty to learn about Hawai'ian culture, arts, and crafts. Kids can play dress up, video games, watch movies, and spend time with favorite Disney characters. An enchanted fireplace and magical Disney touches make this a perfect spot for kids and parents to have some "me" time. There is a special section of the Beach House just for tweens.
Menehune Adventure Trail- This interactive, high-tech scavenger hunt allows older kids the opportunity to solve riddles and follow clues while discovering everything Aulani has to offer.
